Convalescent Care Elston Unit

 

Convalescent Care at the IOOF Seniors Homes is a short stay program that provides rehabilitation services to those who require a period of time to convalesce as they recover from surgery or illness. The focus of the program is to ensure the individual is actively involved in regaining strength, endurance, and functioning. The goal is to support independence so the individual can return home.


How do I access the program?

Referrals are coordinated through the local North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN - Home and Community Care(-formerly the CCAC).

 

Convalescent Care needs will be assessed for a minimum of 7 day stay up to a maximum of 90 days per calendar year.


Is there a cost for the program:

There is no cost for the care and accommodation to participate in the program. The Program is funded through the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care.
