Best Care for Seniors Campaign FAQ

What is the Best Care for Seniors Campaign?

The Best Care for Seniors Campaign is a $6 million fundraising effort to attract much-needed funds through current and pledged gifts made by individuals, businesses, corporations, services clubs and foundations. The funds generated will be used to pay for our new 96-bed long term care wing, which opened in 2008 on our campus.

In total, it will cost at least $18.3 million to redevelop the long-term care facility. Funding to be received from government after occupancy and over a 20-year period will result in a $6 million shortfall.

Will I receive a tax receipt for income tax purposes for my gift to the Campaign?

Yes, all gifts made to the campaign will receive a tax receipt for income tax purposes. The IOOF Seniors Homes Inc. is a charitable not-for-profit organization with Charitable Registration Number 10252 6415 RR0001. You may also find us listed on the Canada Revenue Agency's charities section.
